Orange and the Central West
Our workshop is at 26 Edward Street, Orange. For truck and machinery work we can come to you across the towns below, and elsewhere in the Central West if needed.
Before you call
Can a chipped windscreen be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Often it can be repaired, as long as the chip is small, not in the driver's direct line of sight and hasn't spread into a long crack. The sooner you get it looked at the better, because heat, cold and corrugated roads turn chips into cracks. Call us and describe it, or text a photo, and we'll tell you honestly which it is.
Does my windscreen need ADAS recalibration after replacement?
If your vehicle has a camera mounted behind the windscreen for lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking or adaptive cruise control, then yes. Replacing the glass moves the camera's view slightly, and it needs to be recalibrated so those systems work as designed. We're ADAS certified and do it in the same visit.
Will my insurance cover it?
Many comprehensive policies include windscreen cover, sometimes with no excess. We're an approved repairer for the major insurers, so give us your claim number and we'll deal with them directly. If you're not sure what your policy covers, we can help you find out.
Can you come to me?
For trucks, tractors, headers, loaders, excavators and other large equipment, yes. Our onsite service covers depots, farms and worksites across Orange and the Central West. Cars, 4WDs and utes are done in our Edward Street workshop, where we have the space and the ADAS calibration equipment to do the job properly.
How long does a windscreen replacement take?
It depends on the vehicle and whether recalibration is needed. Call us with your make and model and we'll give you a realistic time, and let you know how long the adhesive needs to cure before you drive.
How can I pay?
Cash, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. If it's an insurance job we can usually bill your insurer directly, so you only pay any excess.
Do you do trucks, tractors and machinery?
Yes, that's a big part of what we do. Trucks, buses, tractors, headers, loaders and excavators, in the workshop or onsite. Where a factory windscreen isn't available we can cut laminated glass to size.
